Synopsis

You.IT.me is a choreographic investigation into human connection and the intricate dynamics of communication. Evolving from its precursor, One’s, the work expands on themes of conventional relationships and the challenges inherent in meaningful interaction.

The piece explores the conditions under which isolation arises and examines the psychological and emotional barriers that impede genuine engagement. The performance interrogates the tension between autonomy and interdependence, questioning whether, when faced with solitude, we are truly willing to set aside our egos and reach out for support.

You.IT.me positions the audience as both witness and participant in this exploration. By foregrounding the body as a medium of expression, the work opens possibilities for connection, empathy, and shared understanding in a world where communication is simultaneously amplified and fragmented.

This work is supported by Hellerau – Europäisches Zentrum der Künste Dresden.
