Synopsis

For URSina Tossi, paradise is neither a transcendent nor an idyllic place, neither a religious control room, a place of longing, nor a tourist resort.

It is a state of abundance that must be created. In times of ecological scarcity and the decline of closeness, contact, and attention, E(R)DEN seeks the power of movement, encounter, warmth, and ecstasy. Thus, dance becomes a subversive practice that undermines the logic of efficiency and celebrates abundance. E(R)DEN digs into the layers of earth, history, and desire, searching for a different kind of ground that is soft, permeable, and alive.

What if paradise is not a geographical location, but an attitude of sharing and openness?

E(R)DEN is a production by Ursina Tossi in co-production with Kampnagel Hamburg and in cooperation with TanzFaktur Cologne. E(R)DEN is funded by the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media, the Cologne Cultural Office, and the Diversity Fund of the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia.
