Synopsis

Endtropy deals with the human striving for perfection and the paradox of its unattainability. The progressive optimization of one’s own ego demands a high level of energy expenditure. The expectations of flawlessness and perfection distort the view of reality. The concept of entropy borrowed from the nature of the universe, in which particles always strive for order and stability, certainly does not seem to apply to the human emotional balance of the protagonists. Their struggle for absolute control over the I as an icon only reveals the darker side of competition all the more clearly. Together with the ensemble, Frantics exaggerates the superficialities of a thoroughly styled world into the grotesque.
