Diego is an artist, choreographer, performer, dramaturge, pedagogue, and researcher whose practice operates at the intersection of contemporary dance, performance, and dramaturgical practice. He was raised in Spain in a working-class context and initially engaged with movement through sports before shifting toward hip-hop culture and breakdance. In 2011, he relocated to Germany, where he pursued studies in contemporary dance, improvisation, and physical theatre. He later completed formal training in dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.

Since 2013, Diego has been working as a freelance artist and co-founded the Berlin-based collective Frantics. His professional trajectory includes collaborations with theatres and institutions such as Theater Strahl Berlin, Hungry Sharks Vienna, Theater Bonn, Theater Bremen, Staatstheater Kassel, Iron Skulls Barcelona, and Stadttheater Gießen, where he served as rehearsal director. As a freelance collaborator, he has worked with choreographers including Adrienn Hód, Johannes Wieland, Samir Akika, and Ursina Tossi, contributing as co-creator for Ghosts and as a dramaturge for E(R)DEN, presented at Kampnagel Hamburg and TanzFaktur.

His artistic output includes Last (Tanztage 2016, Sophiensaele Berlin), Dis.Order (2021, supported by NPN), Dust & Recuerdos (2024, supported by Kanton St. Gallen), and Persona (2025, CC Barceloneta). His work has received several awards, including distinctions for One’s (31st Hannover Ballettgesellschaft), Space (BUNY 2020, 34th Hannover Ballettgesellschaft, and Machol Shalem 2022), and Past Memories (37th Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid, 2023).

Alongside his artistic practice, Diego has developed Dramaturgical Body, his own pedagogical framework that investigates embodied dramaturgy through practice, movement research, and compositional tools. Through this framework, he has conducted workshops and laboratories within BA and MA programs, dance schools, festivals, and performance studies contexts across Europe. In addition, he works as a choreographic and dramaturgical assistant for other artists and mentors collectives, teams, and individual artistic processes.
